For anyone out there knowledgable on the subject of college admissions.
I was a terrible student in high school, for reasons other than mental capacity; I made many poor choices. However, I took some time to travel the world, came back and joined the U.S. Air Force, was "born again" academically, and completed a year of courses at the University of North Carolina. I wonder what my chances are of getting into my dream school, NYU. My high school GPA was poor, 2.8, but my college statistics are:
GPA: 4.0
SAT: 2220.
*Along with some good extra-curriculars (Teaching English abroad, coaching, etc)
My chances were 1/10,000 before... if I've narrowed them down to 1/1000 I'm happy.
Thoughts?
