There may be some correlation, but the on line tests tend to score higher. They are not real IQ tests. they can be fun to do and they may tell us something about ourselves, but they do not give a real IQ score. A real IQ score comes from either the Wechsler scales or the Stanford Binet administered by a psychologist.

Online tests are about as accurate as any attention-getter is likely to be. I found i could answer the questions before I finished reading them.
IQ tests are a debatable basis for measuring intelligence at the best of times. If you consider that your intelligence did itself justice, and you got a good result, is that your idea of a real test?
Somebody once mentioned that a lot of tests are really just a way of asking questions badly.
Like, "Farmer Jones has one unsaleable blue cow in his full grazing capacity herd of 100 in 2007, and every calving season he gets another. Every time this happens he goes 10% more gaga than he was the previous year. How insane/bankrupt will Farmer Jones be in 2021?"
It's a question, with a calculator in it, but is it worth answering, and does it prove intelligence if you get it right? Would the Jones family ever forgive you?
Try Mensa for a real test based on set standards, and remember that psych tests are based on psychological assessment standards, not necessarily academic or intellectual levels. For an interesting test, do the CIA online test.

do no longer have confidence in them. IQ tests are no longer precise by themselves, no longer to point on the information superhighway. The IQ tests contain a varied determination answer, so all and sundry who does not understand the respond can wager, and that that they had be fortunate sufficient to get a extreme IQ whether they are no longer clever. additionally, IQ attempt factors variety on how lots you ate immediately, what your temper is, etc., purely like all different attempt. A extremely clever person who has little self-worth gets a score it quite is below his genuine intelligence, and vice versa. I even have taken 2 distinctive IQ tests on the information superhighway; while i develop into approximately ten years old I have been given a 146, that's already contained in the genius point. have self assurance me, i'm clever yet no genius, and that attempt develop into probable made by somebody who needs to make human beings experience sturdy. i'm 13 years old now and a few months in the past I took yet another, and that i've got been given 121 factors, that's on the greater suitable area. IQ tests theoretically are assumed to stay the comparable no remember what age you're, with the aid of fact contained in the beginning up of an IQ attempt you're asked what age you're and the attempt corresponds on despite age you chosen. So have not got self assurance IQ tests. whether they have been precise, they have been in basic terms made to attempt innovations ability, no longer expertise or all the different issues that make rather much all human beings clever in some way or yet another.

A valid and reliable IQ test is several hours long and its validity is due also to testing conditions and uniform grading. If you really want to know, go to a university and have the test done.
