What do yo think your roll has been in the destruction of the English language on this media ?
How is it that the majority of questions are posed using goofy lingo or just plain rank bad sentence construction ?
So bad, indeed, that it is often impossible to determine the questioner's sense.
Someone has a lot to answer for, and I happen to believe it is the teaching profession.
What do you think ?

In a story I am writing, most of the events take place in an institution(or academy, or university, whatever) which aims studying alien civilization on other planets in order to deduce from their progress the main reasons that make all civilizations grow and then inevitably decilne. The project hopes to infer from that prolonged study the esoteric truth of the universe and its purpose.The events take place in the not so distant future.

What I want you to suggest is:
1- the name of that institution. My story is supposed to be a satire, so I'm looking for funny names and acronyms that mock the whole business of truth finding, scientific research, deep philosophical significances,and all that kooky stuff:)

2- I also wish you could suggest a name for the manager of this institution/project. I regard him as a thin man whith a shrill vboice, quick movements, and the mean and quick demeanor of a mouse.

i'm a student in a school. u can say that i'm kinda one of the top students. recently, i achieved number 4 in my examination which i think is ok for me. but my parents are acting as though i got last. my parents have high hopes for me. they said i've done well the whole year but i think the other way round. they just take any oppurtunity they can to slap my result in my face(if u know what i mean). what should i do besides improving myself?? i think this is not a problem of improvement but satisfaction. what to do??

the music industry charges royalties for every song and cd we buy, what if greece starts charging for every word or every letter that all countries use every day every second,but its theirs(greek origin, greek source)?how many millions of billions of billions of pounds we owe them?simple maths tells me infinite!!!e.g Britain has aprox 51800 exact words and another 500000 altered words sourcing from greek language and greek literature!!imagine 50 pence for every time each citizen of all countries use each word??to start paying back dated as well back to the start of their language?do the maths. unimaginable money, who is going to be the super power then? One day two people,Marry and Sam, desided to go on a picknick.They found a lovely spot near a forest.While marry was on the other side of the field doing something useful,Sam was just laying there on the ground .He was reading a book,an normally,he fell asleep.A few moments later a bear came along.His name was Yogi.He was either very hungry,or he didn't have anything better to do.Anyway,Yogi really made the whole place look alot different.He opened the basket Marry and Sam brought and created a real mess.Plates,bananas,hamburgers and glasses were averywhere.When he had enough,Yogi went home leaving the place in a state of total chaos.Fut first he found a way to blame Sam for his misdeeds.
