Wow that's awesome!
Just tell your parents it isn't easy to study and get the top. Tell them that everyone likes to be the top, and it's just the only wee little bit of chance to get #1. Tell them honestly how you feel...you felt pressurised...or tell them it's because your parents pressurised you and you can't get the top. Hmmm...this may not sound good. Let's try another way.
Let me tell you something...I'm a student too, and I know how you feel. Here's an example of how you can tell your parents:
"Mom/Dad, it's not easy to study, and I want you to know this very much. How many students doesn't like to be the top? Every student have just about 0.001% of chance of being the #1. You can't possibly force me to get #1. I'm not the kind of super genius one. Just ask the students around. Is there any student who is not stressed?
Don't put high hopes on me. A genius don't study, but I'm not a genius. I study so hard to get very good results and I expect some appreciation. Every year, the syllabus changes. As year by year progress, studies became more harder than you think. Just look at my papers or workbooks or whatsoever and look closely. How much difference of difficulty when you are at my time now?
My brain's gonna explode. I can't possibly have everything in my brain. There are some limits in every human brain. Please appreciate...I've done my best!"
Well, that's what I think. Hope this helps!

top 4 thats good sheesh i wouldn't make it in the top 5, lol. i have parents just like urs soooo soooo hard to please but i learned that pleasing other people is not what life is all about people/parents pleasing is never ever satisfied. its one thing after another, theres not enough time in a day to satisfy those picky people. if i was in your shoes i would start by making myself happy first. try your hardest, do ur best, and u will prevail. if only there was a smart chip we could buy for our brains it would make life more easier but we are human. enjoy ur life, u'll live longer. hope this helps u.

You do what gives you the satisfaction, explain your point of view to your parents. They may not like it, but will have to accept it eventually. And don't be too hard on them, all parents expect the best for their children. Weren't yoy happy, when you used to be on the top and so a favourite of all ?

Talking is best solution. Say each and everything clearly what you have in your mind. What we think as a question have a answer in itself. Say how you are working to get better grades, and what your position is. Explain it dear otherwise no one will understand what you are thinking or seeking to get. Best Wishes for Future. All the best for Exams.
