School seem to think that by playing the situation down, it makes it more bearable for my son. Im at my wits end with them and desperate to help my little boy. What can i do to get them to listen? They wouldnt even suggest where i could get my son some extra emotional support. It seems to me like they're refusing to accept responsibility and that meens hes not getting the support he needs when hes in schools care. Im running out of ideas now, and any help or advice would be appreciated more than you could know.

Is there any research to show that making notes (for example, from a longer text) can help memorisation? I like to copy the key points from textbooks into a summarised version.
Does it make any difference whether these notes are handwritten or typed?
Please give sources; I am not looking for opinions or personal stories.

I can not get my 5 1/2 year old Kindergarten student to sit down and learn how to read. He won't sound any words out he gets frustrates and wants to quit. I can't get him to focus enough or try to read any of the words. I have tried EVERYTHING and even tried with the preschooler books that only have 2 or 3 words in each sentence. Please help!
