It's part of a history essay. It just seems like my sentences are too long, and I don't know how to organize it and make it flow easier.

The colonists believed also that when their government fails them, or fails to provide security of their rights, the same people who gave them the right to govern should also have the ability to take that right away or change its parameters so that the government will “build its foundation on such principles”. The colonists felt that long standing governments should not be changed for petty reasons; however, when there is a long series of abuses of authoritative power, to the point that the government tries to reduce a society’s human rights, then it becomes the “duty” of the governed to overthrow such a government.

Being a dryad at heart, I rarely ever write stories set in cities, but there's a short story I need to write which is set in a metropolis, and I need ideas for the setting.

I need it to be somewhere large, maybe even cavernous, and a little dark. Not too pretty, and full of people wandering through.

Or, if there's another kind of place common in cities which you think is pretty cool, let me know. I will need many different settings!

Also, what are some places a seventeen year old girl would be likely to travel through in the course of a day?

In my lab, I have to calculate the initial velocities of different trials for a ball rolling off a ramp. I had thought that the initial velocity would be zero but my teacher said that that's not it. So I decided to use t=0 and plug it into
x=x0+v0*t+(1/2)*a*t^2 but that gives me an intial velocity of zero too. So yeah, i need help.
Oh yeah, my range for the first trial, the distance the ball traveled, was 75cm.

My class isn't really that big...about like 15-18 students and I have worked with some of them in groups more than once. We laughed, we talked. But when I have to do presentations I just freeze, get red in the face, and start to mumble uncontrollable. How can I stop that habit and become more comfortable?

Okay, maybe I should explain myself a little more.

My mom has been in and out of the hospital. My health has been going up and down. I just found out I was adopted. I've been breakingdown since my dad died. My weight has shot up so much I'm shocked my face hasn't even gotten a double chin yet. I have no support for what I do (I play the flute, piccolo, tenor sax, oboe, and clarient), and on top of all that I have saturday music school and religous ed., both in which I've worked so hard to get into. I have the same classes everyday, which means I have 9 hw assignments everyday and most assit of pages of essays. I wake up at 4:30 in the morning and don't get home until 5:30-7:00pm in the evening. I've cut French 1 and Music Theory because I needed to cry before the thought of suicide cam to mind. I need help and I know it but I have no one to go to. Freinds and boys are the last thing on my mind, so don't even mention them. WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!

My history professor seems to think he's also an English professor and grades pretty strict on our essays. What's the best way to write this intro? Here's what have:

The Declaration of Independence, established in 1776, is an important document to United States history. British colonists outlined many reasons for the decision to declare independence from England to include, what the colonists felt a proper relationship between governments and the people should include, the neglect of duties imposed upon King George III, and the failure of the British government to respond to the pleas and heed the warnings of the colonists as the British government usurpation on colonist's lives became more apparent.

I can do the base case and formulate the induction hypothesis (of course), but I'm not sure exactly how to prove this one. Inequalities give me a hard time. Please prove this as an example for me if you can. Thanks
