He suffers from pdd and is in a class of 15 kids with various disabilities. He has behaviour issues so a mainstream class wouldnt work...During summer he attended daycare and his verbal skills improved greatly but its like hes regressing now!! my son started kdg. this year( he will be 5 in Oct) I am having such a hard time with getting him to sit for any length of time to do his homework. His teacher sends practice sheets for the alphbet home and he just wont do it. He is also getting notes sent home about not listening and not finishing his work. He always wants to play. he has been in school for 4 weeks now, I thought that he would have adjusted by now, but he hasnt. Can any one give me any ideas on how to get this child to do his work. My Dr thinks that i should have him tested for ADHD. I am not sure if I want to do this or not. Any thoughts or sugesstions would be greatly appreciated.
