a two-way table is having topics along the top of a table and topics down the side eg for asking someone to put themselves in categories of what pet they have and how old they are...
................10yrs - 20 yrs 21yrs - 30yrs 31yrs - 40yrs
cat
parrot
dog
hpe you understand that!! =)
Also, a 3 month moving average is the same as a 3 point moving average ... if you have say 12 months in a year with values, you take the sum of the first three and divide by three then put in the middle (i.e. against the second one in this case) then take the 2nd 3rd and 4th and again divide by 3 and put agains the middle - this time it would be the third in the row down i'll try and show:
Jan.......2
Feb ......3.........2.3333
Mar ......2.........3
Apr........4........3.6666
May ......5........4.6666
Jun........5.........5
Jul......... 5........4.3333
Aug..........3 .........3.3333
Sep.......2..........2
Oct.........1.......1.3333
Nov..........1.......1.3333
Dec.........2
Really hope this helps!!

As an aside to the 2nd answer, moving averages are often used to detect trends and minimise the effect of spikes in data sets

hi a 3 month average is as showed below:
Jan - 26
Feb- 34
Mar - 18
Apr - 22
May -34
First youd add up Jan,Feb,Mar and divide by 3.
Next yo add up Feb,Mar,Apr and divide by 3.
Then Mar,Apr May and divide by 3.
