Ryan is an animated version of an interview between Ryan Larkin and Chris Landreth.Chris has taken parts of real interviews between him, Ryan and various other people that knew the Ryan that existed at the peak of his own success, and pieced them together to create this short film. He depicts his fellow film maker’s rise, downfall and what he has become.Back in the 1960s,Ryan Larkin was a rising star of animation and an Oscar nominee who dropped out of the animation film industry and disintegrated by abusing cocaine, alcohol and sold his valuable art to live by.Ryan is shown as a fragile incomplete person, with remains of what was once a face and body shown as broken but not completely destroyed. Both Chris and Ryan had missing and distorted parts of their face, but Ryan’s image was noticeably more ruined and incomplete. But his image grows back temporarily in scenes where Ryan is connecting with his past, like when he was shown his own artwork and talking about Felicity.

I am interested in learning of the weapons, the proper way to use them, and the discipline of the Samurai. I am looking for a traditional educational experience that involves both historical and cultural knowledge. I am looking for a teacher that will help me develop my ability to use the Japanese sword, although I have no intention of using the weapon(s) outside of practice. I merely admire the ways of the Samurai and their culture.

I would love to travel abroad... especially to Japan. But I am American, and I am open to the idea of training and learning here in the U.S. if the cultural experience will not be less than that which I would find in Japan.

Serious answers only, please.
