What is a "Deadspinner?"?

I have seen this word used in blogs/boards concerning baseball and sports. I can't find a definition or explaination anywhere! Just curious. Thanks!

It's more of the board/blog usage that I am interested in. Not the use in sports.

It`s an expression used to descrip the straight thrown ball the has no spinning at all .. and regarding your looking for more than just sports usage of the word ... you are wellcomed any time ;)
