Hmmm I feel there chickenshits .

Sorry if that ^ offends anyone.

I mean comeon they blow everything up , they take something an name it in Latin or Greek , to make it sound complicated !

Then they use the excuse "we name everything in Latin because its a "dead language" an so everyone in the world can freely know what it is .

Allot countrys still use more Greek based words than Latin , an they all prononce the word differeently (the Latin word) so it sounds like a complety different word > hhaha its funny.

Why not name things by what they are , in plain english , not the decimal system but the ten system, would make things allot easier on kid's.

Doesnt make you smart to know what a word means in Latin , you proably have a good memory but thats about it.

Someone else asked this sometime ago, I don't know, but I thought it was good question, so I added it to my Watch List, but he didn't get any responses. I'm asking this question hoping to get lucky, and getting some answers.

You don't say "dollars 200" why do people write "$200" ?????

I'm entering junior year next august, and people tell me that I need to start applying for colleges... but I'm confused about some things; Will college be more expensive for foreign students like me? (México)... I haven't decided on a career yet... I get good grades and my favorite subject is algebra, but I don't wanna be stuck teaching or in a boring job... what career would you reccomend to me and what good universities are there for that? Also, what can I do to improve my curriculum?

I've been at community college for the last few years and am finally moving up, but money is tight...When you get a student loan can you use it for other expenses than just tuition? Because here in San Diego tuition is cheap compared to my rent!!!

IN many states, including mine, there is a huge emphasis on standardized testing, to the point that state funding and rankings are based on student performance on these high-stakes tests.

How can I integrate creativity and a range of experiences with this giant test looming over me and my students? Should I only focus on the tests, or on content that isn't on the tests...is there a happy medium?

From being on this site, I have found a big majority of people cannot form a complete or comprehensible sentence, spelling is horrid. How do the illiterate progress to the next grade without the teachers stepping in? Lord knows it can't all be blamed on typing mistakes!
