I am visiting a friend in Germany who was born and raised in NYC and is getting homesick. I would love to bring some items over that would remind her of the city. They should be small and not cost prohibitive (no Tiffany jewelry!). I am not from NYC originally, so the only thing I came up with so far is a copy of the Sunday Times---she lived in Manhattan so items from there would be preferred. Thanks!

brooklyn, queens, downtown... all have great pizza, but i have yet to find a place in midtown that's even decent.
i have about 7 or 8 Ray's within 3 blocks of me, they all suck, and are expensive to boot.

any good pizzerias in midtown (preferably north of 34st)

We will be travelling to NYC by plane with two 6 month olds next month. Hopefully it won't be so cold.

Do you need carseats for the cab?

Any other tips?

So I am having 2 people over my house for the weekend, however I don't have a spare room so they have to sleep on the floor in the living room. I already made sure to have sheets, blankets, extra pillows and towels. But as far as food and stuff i'm thinking to stock up on bagels, cereal, chips and dip, bottled water..

If you can think of some stuff to make their stay more pleasing or just stuff I should do or have, let me know!
Thanks ♥

The venue would preferably be in or near Chelsea, the West Village, or Flatiron areas.

I was wondering if any of you have eaten at Bobby Flay's restaurant in NYC? Is it worth the money, and the time? Does he do any of the actual cooking? Is he actually in the restaurant? I know a lot of times chefs usually aren't, but would be neat to catch a glimpse of him. Also, was wondering exactly where it is located. I know it is in a hotel, but can't remember which one. And if you stay there, would you? I'll be going there in April and am so excited, thanks!!!

I prefer buffet style. Something a bit upscale. I've already tried water club, but want another suggestion.
