Babbo, Lupa and Del Posto are excellent (Babbo is the best). I've only eaten at Esca twice and both times were a big disappointment. I see no reason to go back. I don't like Otto at all - their pizza wouldn't even make my top 20 list and Otto is where I had the only Pasta Norma that I didn't like - the pasta was undercooked (not al dente - it was undercooked) and the eggplant was burnt. The waitstaff spent more time talking with each other than seeing to the customers. It's not all bad - the gelatto is excellent and they have a very good wine list. Casa Mono - was a pleasant place for a quick bite, but I won't eat there again. I know this is no reason to blackball a restaurant, but since I watched Top Chef and saw what a jerk they employed there, I don't ever want to go there again. (Ilan, the idiot who made the chicken livers with chocolate sauce, Ilan, who was named Top Chef, was a line cook at Casa Mono - he quit when he won). Bistro du Vent, Batali's try at a French restaurant, was a disaster; it's closed now. Batali's no longer connected with Po, but this is still a wonderful place.

Babbo is the best and very difficult to get a reservation. FYI to above: Mario sold Po a number of years ago.
