How do you travel around the city with two babies?

Question

We will be travelling to NYC by plane with two 6 month olds next month. Hopefully it won't be so cold.

Do you need carseats for the cab?

Any other tips?

I hate to admit that I've actually lived in NYC for a few years but not when I had children! I wasn't paying much attention to how all the parents handle getting around!

New York taxis don't have carseats. Also, keep in mind, these are not the best drivers in the world. So, if you can avoid putting your babies in a cab, use buses - they are much safer. They make strollers that convert to a car seat - they probably make them for twins. Were you planning to use a stroller? You can't walk around carrying car seats - much too cumbersome.

you should consider taking a double stroller with you so you don't have to worry about pushing two individual buggies around. also, if you want to take a cab, i wouldn't with two babies since the cabbies could get into a car accident and one or both could die or possibly get injured and you have to stay in New York longer than what you originally wanted to.

get the double stroller and wheel them around and if you get tired then the babies daddy should do it and switch off like every 30 minutes or so but you should take them to playworld so they can have fun and you can too!!!!
