Hello Brits.
I was just curious. How do you all drink tea? I can't stand hot tea. I prefer my tea iced and sweet. Does that sound terrible to you all?

My boyfriend has been away and is coming back to UK in three weeks and i wondered if anyone can recommend a very good Chinese restaurant in Bucks or better still Milton Keynes. We have been to a cracking Thai restaurant and are looking for something similar for a Chinese, particularly somewhere that looks authentic inside. Thanks

Not really about dining out but...
What kind of foods are in England that are the same thing or similar to the foods here in the US... but have a different name?

For example, that nasty candy called Whoppers in the US is called something like Maltesers in England.

What else is similar but have different names?

Actually, anything with different names from other countries as well would be cool, too.

Just curious.

I go to a few local restaurants, but like(d) one in particular as it's friendly & the food is normally excellent.

BUT, the last three times I've been there they've screwed up my order. I like my steaks medium rare, so here's the story so far:

Arrived well done (ruined) - mentioned when paying for meal.
Arrived rare - mentioned when waitress came over (but I didn't want to wait as with other guests)
Arrived medium/well - edible.
Last night arrived VERY rare (mooing) - sent back, came back VERY well done, on same plate - utterly disgusting.

So, should I write to the manager & get some free stuff. Silently remove my custom. Or complain bitterly on Yahoo! Answers & never go back?
