Not really about dining out but...
What kind of foods are in England that are the same thing or similar to the foods here in the US... but have a different name?

For example, that nasty candy called Whoppers in the US is called something like Maltesers in England.

What else is similar but have different names?

Actually, anything with different names from other countries as well would be cool, too.

Just curious.

A couple of examples:
Chips in the U.K. are fries in the U.S.
A biscuit in the U.K. is a cookie in the U.S.
Sweet in the U.K. often referrs to dessert in the U.S.

There are many, Jam's, Most all the fruit is the same with exception to the Sloe, many of there meats are the same as our's with exception that they have a very high rate of mad cow........Spices are the same, they have a stronger pepper than we do.
salmon, eel and perch; pike and and .plaice are the same as our's.
Many of there breads are fried, they do use more foods in the soups than we do for each house hold.
Well there are a few.........
