The Manoir De Quatre Saisons in Oxfordshire is absolutely wonderful.
However, it is VERY expensive.

Try the Highway Man at Checkendon just off the A417 just outside Reading heading towards Oxford or there is The Swan at Sonning Common if you don't mind the expense but it is well worth it and you will need to dress appropriate and men must wear a shirt and tie. Also worth spending a night there lovely high class rooms and lovely deep bath and them remember to take the soaps and shampoo, when you leave also in the rooms you can take the shoe cleaning kits, sewing kits and the other nice little touches, order champagne to your room.

Why not try some country pubs out in Hungerford they are usually quite nice, can't remember the names of them though sorry! Or maybe try the Millhouse in Thatcham thats quite nice there as well, or how about Tobys Carvery by the Robin Hood roundabout.
Hope that helps.
