We have a new chef at the cafe' that I have worked at for 7 years.
It is a high end french style cafe' that has always excelled in dining, and service standards.
Our new chef while talented in recipe, takes forever to get our plates out.
45 minutes is doing good, I have had ticket times of an hour plus for parties.

Our clientele are just not coming back, and the new people that are coming in, think that it is the waitstaff, or just our standard.

What can I do, to help. I try to expediate. I am constantly talking to guests, and trying to pacify all sections as I am senior server.

I have tried to talk to mgmt. but to no avail. I need suggestions on how to get food out quicker. What can servers do to help the kitchen.

We are all very seasoned staff. Most are older than our new chef, we are a very respectful and professional staff as well.

Please help. Thank you.

I know they have an offer for them for like $5.95 for lunch. Do you know if it includes weekends, and at what time of the day they discontinue the offer? Thanks.

They have spinach and romain salads and you choose from a variety of ingredients and dressings which they toss for you. I can never think of any good combinations on the spot and wind up ordering the same thing.

I would have loved to eat a parrot or a panther or something, but they had none of those things on the menu. Or maybe like a monkey of some sort. I wonder if monkies taste like people, or if we taste like them. Anyway, I feel ripped off and they didnt seem too concerned when I complained.

A few years ago in my home town, a Chinese restaurant was inspected and they found cats and dogs hanging in their freezer. When questioned they said it was for their own consumption.How do we know we aren't eating the same thing? It's normal in their culture. I won't go to one anymore for fear of what I'm being served.

I was thinking and I wanted to know why people feel this way. I heard that in some Asian countries they sometimes cook dogs among other things. At first many people squirm at the thought and then criticize the people who do eat this plate viciously. I mean, I think it is a bit abnormal myself but how can you justify this when millions of cattle are slaughtered to be served carelessly in fast-food joints and other places. I think many people have an attachment to pets, understandably, and it's fine to voice your opinions, but sometimes I think people go overboard and say horrible things to the few who actually eat this while munching on a Quarter Pounder burger from Hardee's.
