What's your favorite diner dish? What do you love to get when you go to your local favorite? The more interesting the answer the better, and extra-special if you know of a really unique local place!

I am taking a friend/co-worker to lunch tomorrow...she is trying sushi for the first time. I am pretty new to it, and I am not sure what to order (my boyfriend introduced it to me, I always get what he orders!!) I love the stuff, but she is hesitant. What would be a good choice to start her off with??

We can not afford to have our reception at a resort out there and are looking for alternatives. We thought about a tent and catered BBQ, but then where is the bathroom and who is going to set up and clean up, there were to many unknowns.

Any help would be appreciated. We were told that Coleman's Smokehouse would be too tight. I am looking into Cavallerio's. Is there anywhere else that I'm missing?

If you are dining at a restaraunt, how do you feel you should be treated from the time the server reaches your table? What annoys you the most about the service experience? What makes you feel like you got treated like a king/queen from the experience? This is kind of a tip board for a friend of mine who would like to become a part time waitress at a famous steakhouse. Thanks in advance from Jen.

Cartoon characters always end up doing the dishes, but in real life and you forgot cash or your card was declined or the like, what happens then? I'm entertaining the notion that the restaurant can simply send you a bill in the mail, but this neither seems likely nor reliable.

I'm trying to find & join as many restaurant/entertainment birthday clubs as I can. The kind of thing where you tell them your birthday, then they send you a coupon for a free dessert, meal, prize, etc if you come in on (or near) your birthday.

Especially interested in restaurants & entertainment places in the Chicago area.

What are you favorite 'birthday clubs'?

The thing is that there is a quite big party that comes to the restaurant and either leave a horrible low low tip or just do not leave any tip. They are smart they split the check almost all the time, so there is not gratuity!! What should the manager and the waiter/waitress do next time they come by and eat???? The worst thing is that they are frequent costumers !!!

If you could tell a waitress one (or maybe a few) things to help her be the best, what would it be? I was a waitress 10 years ago, and I'm looking to get back into it soon. Maybe list a pro and a con of what to and not to do. Thanks a bunch!

My wife and I are used to dining out - nowhere fancy, just family/sports bar types of places such as Friday's, Applebee's, etc. Our 8-week old son can become pretty fussy at times. I'm much more conscious and embarrassed by it than my wife. Should I be? Do people at these types of restaurants have an expectation of quietness? I've been known to get up and walk the parking lot with him to calm him down.
