a friend of my mine's son was eating in a fast food restaurant and had purchased food but did not purchase a drink because he did not have enough money. he is 17 and in highschool. He was with one other friend who had also purchased food. Once my friends son had finished his food he went to the counter and asked if he could have a cup for water. they told him no, they said their restaurant policy is that they do not serve water cups to highshool students between the hours of 2 and 4. my friends son then asked if they could just fill up the cup of water and he would drink it in front of them and he would hand it back to them when he was finished, they still denied him. A few minutes later a family walked in with small children and asked for cups of water and they cashier handed them cups without a problem.

I'm not talking about infants and toddlers; I'm talking children who are old enough to know better (or should know better).

More and more I notice that children run amok in public, especially in restaurants, even the nicer sit-down restaurants.

As a child, I was severely scolded if I even so much as raised my voice in a public place. Nowadays it seems that many parents are oblivious to how their children behave. Kids can't seem to differentiate between the playground and a restaurant.

Driving the staff and other diners crazy...how did it come to this?

Your thoughts?

They put us onto one bill without either of us knowing it. Her meal was free because she had a coupon. But i had to pay full price for mine. Where we ate if you have a college id you get a percentage off. Why wouldn't they let me use anything for mine?

I have an immediate family i take care of, and i also deliver pizza. What is your view on me. i waste to society, since i dont have a good career yet?? Or do you respect me?

But some things i wanted to point out to everyone. PLEASE if you order pizza!!!!

Turn on your porch light, or something that makes your hosue look alive. Dead dark houses are not only scary but dangerous, plus if we are searching for your house, its hard to tell if its your house.

Please if its raining, windy, or just crappy outside, have your money waiting. Dont make me stand int he rain cause since you ordered your pizza (about 30 mins before i arrive) and still havent filled out the check.

Please dont ask me to come inside, remember, i dont know who the hell you are at all. Unless your a regular. I am scared and i am on alert when i get to your house, you could be a killer. you never know. If your house is hard to find, please let them know when you order on the phone, so they can tell us.

I heard this in a conversation but I think the person might have been thinking of Weis Markets -- a regional supermarket in our area that does sells hot pizza in their deli.

I know Wal-Mart sells fried chicken tenders and potato wedges. I wouldn't be surprised if they started selling pizza. One step closer to global domination.
