I know that the U.S. works on 110V versus 220V in Argentina, but a transformer can resolve that. If I take a television from the United States to Argentina, will they have similar cable connectors to feed the right kind of signal to my TV? The other side of that is that I would like to take a DVD player from the U.S. and connect it to an Argentine television. Will that work?

I moved my TV today because we're rearranging furniture. When I got it in place, the upper right corner of the picture is purple. It did this one time before but I moved it and it went away again. This time I can't get it to go away. How do I fix it?

I am trying to connect a TV, DVD player, VCR, Cassette player, & CD player to my amplifier/surround sound. I have everything wired, but the cords going from the Digital Cable box to the amp cause that sound to be on all the time, so when I switch to the DVD player (which doesnt have a built in amp) I'm still getting the sound from the cable box. There's 4 sets of ports on the TV, the ones on the front, & in the back there's AV1, AV2, & Monitor TV. There's tons of ports on the amp for everything to go into. It is set up very messy right now, I have audio cables from the cable box to amp, dvd to amp, vcr to amp, cd to amp, & cassette to amp, then have Video cables from DVD to TV, & VCR to TV. If anyone can help tell me what I'm doing incorrect I would appreciate it.

First let me say that my eyesight is great- 20/20. I bought a floor model, Samsung (approx) 43" color TV about 5 years ago. It was great for about 3.5 years and then the picture started to get increasingly blurry. It got so bad, I could no longer make out any text, such as subtitles, the crawl on the news stations or even the number of the channel I was on. I put the TV away and let it sit for a year. I plugged it back in to see if it had miraculously cured itself and was surprised to see that it had- for about 2 days, and then it got blurry again. Now I feel like I need coke bottle glasses to watch it. Before I toss it in the Goodwill, do any of you have any suggestions on what to do? Is it worth lugging it into a repair shop? I paid about $350. for it. What do you think the problem is? I bought it from Best Buy. No warranty. :-(

i has just brought an external surround sound system for my goodmans lcd tv (ld3250hd) but i can't get it to work.
the speakers work when put connected to the dvd player via l/r audio input leads but they don't work when conecceted to the tv.

i would like the sound to come via the tv then i can watch sky/dvd without having to swap the leads around, i have tried the left/right audio leads and also a single yellow lead that was supplied with the system but none of them will allow the sound to come through tne tv.
i am assuming the something is up with the tv but what?
any help would be grately apreciated
