i wanna buy a new TV with S-video. Do i need anything special (like special cable, etc) to view picture with S-video quality?

You need a source (satellite receiver, cable box, PS2, DVD player, etc) that has an S-video output. You will also need the S-video cables to make the connection between the source and the TV.

All you need is a S-video cable. Any TV store will have one. And you will need a RCA cable for the audio. As soon as you plug it in (say to video 1) it will automatically disengage the composite (yellow) input jack (at least on 90% of newer TVs). Hook up the audio as normal, select the proper input, and you are watching the best 'regular' definition source available.
