Buy LCD ... Most are HD ready, compatible with a computer via VGA input, have a longer life than plasma, images won't burn the screen like plasmas, no annoying buzzing sounds as in the case of plasmas and prices are steadily dropping!

Plasmas are still slightly better right now, but LCDs are getting close and eventually will be the clearly better choice. The above mentinoed viewing angle problem is not nearly as bad as it used to be and the price gap is closing. I would still wait another year to buy either one, but if you must buy now, I guess I would say Plasma, unless you can afford a little extra to get an equivalent LCD.

the plasma is more closer to the conventional one. cheaper and a wider angle of view. the L.C.D is a healthier option for your eyes and give great picture quality. but the angle of view is just about more than 90 degrees. do you get it?ie..you need to literally sit in front of the LCD and can't catch anything from the sides like in case of a laptop screen. that's one disadvantage with the LCD. also they come with a costlier price tag than the plasmas. good luck!
