I am a computer novice and I am looking for a mp3 player which could be used for data transfer, voice recording etc. FM radio would be an advantage. No brand preference . only value for money.
are these products reliable? what should be the features/ one should check for to avoid being conned?

I'm looking for the least expensive color model. I'm hoping to find a used one, so older models welcomed.

I've had a Sidekick II for two years and love it. But, it fried in my car and it's outside warranty. I don't use it as a phone but I'm thinking of switching my regular phone over to a Blackberry so I can have phone, email, and internet on one gadget.

Can I get some feedback from anyone with experience on both? I'm thinking of getting the 7290 to save money.

Is there a software out there that will allow me to send messages through my desktop, but my Pocket PC is the one that is sending the message. That is, my SIM Card in the phone (PPC) is the one being charged for text messaging, but the typing and sending of text messages will be thru my desktop's keyboard. I think this will be much more convenient for me, so I REALLY need your help. I know Nokia has this kind of software right? I'm using and o2 xdaII mini phone. thanks! first answer to actually work gets best answer!

Every time I access my Yahoo Mail using the web on my Treo650 it prompts me for username and password. I keep cookies and history in my browser.. is there a way to avoid this. I had another smart phone before and it "remembered" my credentials until I log off.
My service is Cingular... I am not sure if this matters.

I am looking to buy a PDA. I don't want to spend more than $150 - $200.
What would be a good one from your experience? Or should I sign up for a cell phone deal that comes with built in PDA? Is it very costly, or is it worth it?

I am not looking for a fancy PDA (don't care about color screen, etc), but I do want it to be somewhat versatile. I need to use it primarily as an organizer. I need to be able to check my email, the internet, etc.

The time has come for me to upgrade my phone to one that can handle what I need...

I have 23 propertys that I manage (rental). I need a phone that can keep track of basically everything from rent paid, deposits, account numbers, repairs and the like... I have T-Mobile now so I was thinking about the MDA or SDA but im not against switching. OR should I just get a PDA I can upload to my computer. Im looking for personal refferances as to what you acutally have, not what you have heard. Thanks.

I'm trying to use Dataviz's Documents to Go to keep my Excel/Word/etc. files synchronized between multiple computers, but it is not working for me, so I'm wondering what I 'm doing wrong. I've looked on the web and at Dataviz's website, but can't solve it.
I set up my home computer's files to synch with my Palm Treo through Docs to Go, and it works fine. I then put Docs to Go on my laptop, and tried to sync with the Treo. It seems to sync, but when I look into it I'm having several problems:
- I have the files in subdirectories under my C:\ drive, not in the My Documents area. However, Docs to Go keeps trying to put the sync'd files back under My Documents, and doesn't update the ones under the C:\ drive
- when I make file changes, it doesn't seem to keep all the files the same (between the desktop, laptop, and Palm)

Can I use c:\ subdirectories? Can I make changes on any one of the machines and sync to all the rest? Docs to Go talks about "file translation"- what is that?

I'm looking into 'upgrading' from my Sony Clie TJ-PEG 27 to a Palm T|X. good thing to do? Because my Clie is an 03 or 04 model i think and can't do much. I've been looking for a PDA that can do mobile web, e-mail, all my address and memo pad and stuff. along with having a fair amount of memory and good graphical campibilities for games. I would kind of like to stay with Palm OS unless there's a really good one with Pocket PC. I would really like a landscape/portrait flip function (T|X has it long with Palm LifeDrive) but within $350. Any ideas or should I stick with my Clie or go with the T|X.
