I've had a Sidekick II for two years and love it. But, it fried in my car and it's outside warranty. I don't use it as a phone but I'm thinking of switching my regular phone over to a Blackberry so I can have phone, email, and internet on one gadget.

Can I get some feedback from anyone with experience on both? I'm thinking of getting the 7290 to save money.

The Best device is the best device for your needs. If you are using the device for email, minor web browsing and full synching, then go with a BlackBerry.

The BlackBerry will not IM like a sidekick, nor is the browser as strong. The BlackBerry is an email machine.

In my opinion the 2 devices are for 2 different markets, I would take a ride to a local store and look over it and see it for yourself on this one... and this is from BlackBerry user.
