Hello everybody! This should be an easy one! I want to send my buddy a text message online but I don't know what cell phgone provider he uses. (what carrier T-mobile,Verizon,etc.) Is there anywhere that I can go to find out what carrier a particular number is associated with, or is there any way to find out what carrier my buddy has so I can send him a text?(I can't send texts or make calls from my phone because I am over my limit, I can only recieve them... that is the only reason I asked this) Thank You all SOO much!

About 4 hours ago my phone fell into a shallow rockpool at the beach, it was in there for about 20 seconds until we got it out. It's a brand new Nokia 6288, expensive phone so I can't afford for it to break! I have no idea if it has warranty or insurance..

I didn't try to turn it on until about 20min later but I think the battery is stuffed up anyways. i took everything apart and dried it with a blowdryer but now all the salt has crystallized and the sliding is screwed up, and I bet the whole inside of the phone is surrounded in crystals!
It won't turn on and the screen is fogged up still

Please, PLEASE don't tell me it won't work again!!!
does anybody know any places I can take it to to get repaired within the southern/sydney area? or even repair it myself?

hey i got a new vodofone sim and i got a topup card and topped up 5.00 and spent it all so i could get my free weekend calls between friday 7:30 and sunday midnight but i didn't! i even rang 2345 on before hand, do you have to register the sim or something if so please let me know thankyou...

Since t-mobile's carrier data is setup internally, I can't manually edit its Carrier Data Setting for use here in the PHILIPPINES. I'm using a local service here like SMART Telecoms where they have their own gprs and mms service so I have to setup the Carrier Data Settings to match theirs and use their service. PLEASE HELP ME!
Note:I have a USB phone to pc data link cable, I was wondering if I can edit the Carrier Data Settings using my data link cable through a specific program. Giving the site and/or the program to edit my Carrier Data Settings would also help.

If I buy an new unlocked Sony Ericsonn phone that is compatible on the same network as my current service provider, will I have to call the company to have them activate it? I love my cell phone plan, but it is a really old AT&T Wireless plan that beat anything out on the market today. Calling the company for anything usually results in being strong armed to change service plans.

Btw, my current phone is also Sony Ericsonn. Thanks in advance for your answer.
