Cell Phones & Plans - December 2006

#1. What exactly is the purpose of these "unlocked" cell phones that I have been reading about? I mean, are they a type of pre-paid of someting? The reason I ask is because my current service provider which is Cricket, offers the Razor phone that I'd like to have, but at an incredibly expensive price. I found on under $200 on a web site of unlocked cell phones. I noticed that it said something about a SIM card, which I don't have, & don't have the slightest idea about how to get one & keep my current phone # & service. I've been told about Cricket Flash services, but in this situation, would an unlocked phone be capable of flashing?

#2. I have a Nokia Shorty model 2115i, I have had over a year without any service. I set it so that the lock code would be required upon powering on, unfortunately, it HAS been a year & I don't remember it. Virgin Mobile said I'd have to buy another phone, but I know there is some Cellular Expert out there that can help. The default isn't working either!

I ask this question because Mr. Gorgeous Fluffpot is most vexed that he doesn't know the answer. Why does he need to know the answer to this? I have absolutely no idea, but I know that I shall have no rest until someone provides me with the answer !

Help, I need to change from Vodafone who won't renew my current good deal. Currently I pay £7 including VAT a month for 75 mins of calls and about 50 texts but I never use them - I really only the phone for emergencies but don't want to go on Pay as you Go since it doesn't have international access. So, can anyone tell me which is the best contract deal for me, partiucularly as I don't need an upgraded phone and am happy to keep my current one - I am relying on you guys to tell me what's best. hey

i just bougth new motorola v360. i also bought 512 mb memory card. one problem with my mp3 player. i load some songs in that card but i am only able to play one song at time.. for another song i need to play separetly.. do u have any solution to play all songs in row without stoping.

Please help me out...

I don't have my wall charger for my us cellular moto razr and i kinda have an emergency charging situation but i do have a usb cable... the phone doesn't seem to charge when i plug the cable in, though. Is there any way to charge it with the usb cable or any software necessary to do so, or am i basically just screwed? It plugs in fine and the computer detects it, but it is a basic razr and there are no features that require a usb connection, but yet i can plug it in to the computer... is there ANY way AT ALL i can charge it with this cable??? PLEASE HELP!!

I've got a Motorola V3 but I want to download a couple of photos from my computer and it says the files are too big (never had this problem with my Samsung D500). How can I increase the memory so it will download my pics? Have looked in instruction book but it doesn't tell me. I just got an LG vx9800 and I was wondering how I can transfer music from my computer to my phone. I don't have a mini sd yet or a usb cable. My phone has bluetooth, but I'm not even sure how to use it. What is the cheapest and easiest way to do this?!
