Cell Phones & Plans - July 2006

HEy , my mom pays my phone bill, cuz we got a shared family plan,
i got sprint right now and sprint gives a regular bill with just minutes used,

my phone plan is expiring in july and were looking for a new plan,

so what cariers do you have that gives a regular bill like sprint without the detailed stuff,

cuz if my mom get suspicious of any numbers dialed she could call themup and ill be in deep trouble,

so therefore im not looking to get stuck with a cell phone bill that is detailed,

so what cell phone company gives a non -detailed bill??

I'm getting my first cell phone plan, I've had prepaid for awhile and its horrible. I was wondering how much I'm going to have to put down as a deposit since I'm a college student with little to no credit history. Also, do any carriers offer discounts to college students like they do to certain companies?

I found this motorola model 601(t) in my backyard before mowing. Is it a prepaid model? I tried to be neighborly, to see if someone lost it next door, but knocked on their door and they wouldn't answer (thugs). Is it a prepaid type? Can I buy minutes and activate it with a new number? It's a lot nicer than my prepaid nextel that i'm using. Please educate me.

When I try to redial I get the "fast busy signal" this usually signifies a bogus number. I've tried to call this number back but it's fake.

AT&T spends a fortune on name changes ie: Pacific Bell to Cingular to SBC to AT&T. While the service they provide is beyond substandard.
Their ads say they have the fewest dropped calls (but the won' t tell you what survey company they used, only the term "a well known company").

Today, after close to two hours of waiting and redialing (after my calls were dropped) I finally threw them out.

My friend phone is a motorola V188 and the service is for T-Mobile. Is there anyway that I can get it to work with a Cingular plan, b/c when I put my SIM card into the phone I get the message: Enter Subsidy Pass...0

Any help or explaination would be greatly appreciated.

I know that different cell phones play more or less of their musical ringtones without repeating. I am trying to find out which brand of cell phone plays the longest part of its ringtone without starting over. On my phone, some of the ringtones I would like to use finish playing before they get to the part I really want to hear.
