Hello fellow Canon users. I just got my digital rebel XTi and it takes wonderful pictures but I am trying to figure out which settings I need to play with to get everything in focus. So far, it focuses on the main subject, and everything else in the background is blurry. How do I make it where the subject and everything in the background is in focus?

So far the only way I have figured out how to do this is in landscape mode, but you can't use flash in landscape mode and I would like my indoor pictures to have everything in focus as well.

I have shot on the "green box" mode and also use the "P" mode but neither one of those modes accomplishes what I want.

Thanks much for your help =)

I have an Alpha 7 CD player which I am considering upgrading. However it is 10 years old and I am a bit wary in case it won't last much longer. Does anyone have any figures for the average lifetime of this model of CD player? It is used 2-3 hours per week.

It's a Sony SLV-E730 VCR, and I recently moved it from one room to another, and now it won't power up. I believe the anti-theft system has locked it. I can't find the manual, not much info on the net either.. what do you think?
Thanks

I have a sanyo5.0 mega-pixel camera and it totally sucks when it comes to taking pictures at concerts and what not. When I take videos with it, it's good and the sound isn't bad. But when I am at shows and try to take photos, it never comes out clear, it takes forever to 'adjust/zoom' in correctly, and it totally sucks. What kind of digital camera can I get that's not too big, has good zoom/adjustments, comes out clear, is good with fast moving objects(or people) and good with light(stage lights)?

I really want/need a new camera because this camera is screwing up all of my lovely memories.

Thank you!

I am using a scart connected TV, STB, VCR and DVD Recorder combination which in general works very well indeed, apart from one anoying problem.

If I am transfering a video tape to DVD, and press the still picture button on the VCR, the picture pulses up and down at about 2 frames/sec. Yet if I play the same tape and view without the DVD recorder being connected, the still picture mode is perfectly displayed with picture locked and stationary.

I have tried both RGB coupling and CVBS coupling with the vcr and get the same problem with both methods. Have also tried with the STB enabled and disabled. The fault definitely seems to some form of conflict with the DVD recorder, yet having said that, it records the movie with superb quality.

Any advice or good inspired guesses will be most appreciated..........Ron.

We need a new TV for our living room. Since signals are going to be in DIGITAL in 2009, is it a good idea to get a ANALOG set because alot of places are getting rid of them?? or go with a digital at a higher price.
We already have two analog sets , so would have to get a Digital to Analog box anyway. We have cable TV but don't have a cable box, but still get all of the channels we need. We don't have a need for 'renting' a box from the cable company just for HD or premium channels.
It dosen't matter to us weather we get a tube or plasma or whatever... we are on a fixed income and just want thing the way they are now, but don't want to have a new tv that is useless in Feb 2009. Please help if you have insite on this subject. Thanks
