okay so i want to go to college and major in one of these but i dont know which one to go to. Im not a good drawer/illustrator on paper. but i love doing things on the computer like on photoshop and stuff, i can do some pretty good things. I heard that for graphic design you have to be good at art? like drawing and stuff. I like making websites too but doesnt that require you to make graphics for it? I dont know which one would be best for me..hmm

Do I Start with C:\Docoments and Settings? I have it in My Documents\MyPictures folder. What steps afterwards? I like the "Eyes-Nearly-Popping-Out, In Shock" & Tex Avery.

For some crazy reason, firefox doesn't seem to recognise any style changes I make to text on my myspace page:

IE renders things like the header and text colours perfectly, but for the first time in my life Firefox is letting me down by sticking to the default scheme (orange headers etc).

I've tried emptying my cache and I've done the usual SHIFT-Refresh...I've even restarted my machine...nothing! Help please! Thanks!!

Hi,

I have recently created a website which I did on my computer with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800. After sending a link to my friends and family, I received feedback telling me that the information on the pages overlapped even though on my computer it looked perfect. Somebody told me that the 'standard' resolution is 1024 x 768 and that I either need to change my resolution to the 'standard' 1024 x 768 and amend all the pages on my website or see if there is any coding available which will open the website in the correct resolution depending on the computer that wants to open it. Hope this makes sense. Thanks.

Okay, if you don't know what a whore code is, I'm sorry =p


I made a simple whore code, and I need to insert it into a scroll box, but when I insert it, it shows my pic and stuff that's in the whore code.

I need to know how to get the CODE to show up in the scroll box.
So that people can just come on my page and copy and paste it.
Any ideas?

Hi, i am learning Linux in a class this semester. We've learned some basic shell programming. Now they're giving us a project for lab work. We have three options to choose on making: new distro, remastering cd, or Linux utilities.

The problem is i have to submit the topic this week. Making new distro sounds too confusing to me, so i guess remastering cd would be better. But... how do i remaster it? what should i remaster? ... what is remastering cd?

Can you suggest me a topic, it should be specific to certain area such as multimedia, or anything? The most important is could you point me to a very detail explanation on how to remaster?

Please.. help, I've been using Windows all my life... i really know nothing about this stuff, but i'm eager to learn.

I need a select statement that will allow a user to search a database table by a name filed. But I need it to work only if they enter say the first 3 letters and not all of them so for example if someone typed in Jo it would return Joe, Jones, John ... is there any select statement with a where clause that would allow me to do this?
