There are certain programs that let you create your own font, all they require you to do is to draw the whole alphabet onto paper and then scan it in.
Aa Bb Cc (etc and fullstops, commas etc)
Open up the program and then read the help file
These programs are free and can be obtained from such download sites as download.com
One handy one, which I found is the easiest is FontCreator

I've never heard of making your own font before. That's insanity

search google.com for 'free font maker', but you'll need to draw every character yourself, even different sizes
