My little sister just loves neopets. A was searching on the site a couple of months ago and saw that a lot of people created lookups and banners and stuff like that. I thought I could do the same. I know basic HTML, but what programs should I get to help me?

1. Jasc Animation Shop, available for free downloading, lets you make animated graphics, as well as several other downloadable programs.
2. Believe it or not, MS Paint works surprisingly well. That's the program I mainly use, and it's free :p
3. Photoshop is a good option, although it's complicated for a beginner to use, and expensive unless you're on a trial version. Paint Shop Pro is a good option as well, just search for a trial version on yahoo search.
4. Since you're making graphics, just thought I'd point out some sites to upload graphics to so you can share them on the web and on neopets: photobucket.com (must sign up) and imageshack.us are good options.

You can get Adobe Photoshop, but I use Macromedia Fireworks.
It works very well.
