it just turns off and stops everything even the open websites.
whenever I start clicking "save" the computer starts shutting down even if I didn't turned it off yet.

I recently bought a new PC from bleeding Dell. Tried to connect to the internet yesterday (via broadband - as i always have done and can still do via my old PC) - My new PC runs bleeding Vista (which I hate) and refused to connect. First messages claimed that the modem wasnt connected - which it was, and then when i tried to start a new connection it asked for a IP password and user name. Can I not just plug in to the internet, connect to IE and surf? Is this Dell trying to force me to sign up to bleeding Tiscali which conveniently arrived installed. Along with a load of other junk I didnt want or ask for, and which has taken ages to uninstall . Hate Dell.

i can not watch movies, series an and all items in peekvid.com while others can ,
in my computer it takes too much time to download and if it finishes the download the movie stucks when playing,does it suggest that my computer's frequency is low or what is the reason and how to i solve this?

Personally, when it was first reported i thought it was just a big lie, that software companies made up to sell new products. To this day i still feel thats why the millennium bug was made up. There was never any real threat to the computers. It was just made to make those with money richer before the clock turned over to 2000.

Just my opinion.

What were your thoughts about it when it was first reported?? Did you fall for it and go out and buy new software upgrades??

every time i turn my computer on... the (bsod) keeps poping up and even after i try over and over again to put it in safe mode the blue screen pops up again...i tried everything from safe mode to safe mode and networking etc...and it yet the blue screen keeps poping up, no matter what i do i cant seem to even reach the desktop whats the best ways i can fixed this??? thanks...

When I open up the display properties on my computer and go under the Desktop tab, my computer only lets me choose between solid color backgrounds from the bottom right menu. It will not let me access the Background menu or even the Browse menu. Anytime I set a picture, for example from the internet, as my background it only shows up when I am restarting my computer. Why will it not let me have a graphic background?

Im trying to get a new notebook and I dont know if they get one that has XP or get one that has Vista. I've heard a bunch of complaints about Vista but I just want to know if its because it has a longer learning curve. Also will files from XP like music, video, word documents transfer from XP to Vista. Also can Vista join a network when the other computers use XP.

I copied several files of pictures to a CD. They were there after the initial copying. I took the CD out and then back in to check and the CD wouldn't open at all. Its a Sony CD-R. Finally did a CD Utility which allowed me to open, but no files are there. The properties show less available space than on an empty CD so it appears the pics are there, but I can't get to them. I moved the files so they are lost from the harddrive. Anybody know how to recover "unrecognized data" from a CD???
