You can try and manually sliding the metal cover away to reveal the disc inside. The, spin the disc in the centre to turn it, and clean it as it turns around. Do this for both sides.

Probably won;t make much difference but you can try.

Failing that, there are data recovery comapnies that will help, but they are VERY expensive so it depends on how valuable the data is to you.

Various open source / shareware packages exist that will recover as mush as possible of a corrupt file from a floppy disk.

If all else fails, locate some 'sector recovery' software - this will 'read' 256 characters at a time ignoring the file format.
From this you should at least be able to get most of the text back via Notepad

Put the docs onto the computer first, thewn try, but corrupt stuff normally means it's gone forever

Now you may undertand that having 2 back up copies always help. Unfortunately if its corrupted the info has gone. Do you keep a copy on another machine else where perhaps?

Get an external floppy drive, pop it in and then open it in windows explorer or macintosh finder.
