It means that an error occurred during the application of the program that you were either using or attempting to installing. So that the entire application (program) didn't make it into your computer, because the error occurred.
Maybe make sure that your pop up blocker didn't stop it from being down loaded. If you have pop up blocker you may want to unblock it and try the application again.
