Well i have got a computer with WINDOWS XP installed in it and well created my ADMINISTRATOR but i felt something is wrong and well when i went inside MY PICTURES i felt dizzy as all my PICTURES were gone that i recently saved PLZ PLZ PLZ i cant save them again and again is there anything i can do 2 bring those pictures back?????????

I had to buy another laptop when my girlfriend broke the LCD screen on my last one. I need my files and programs from broken the laptop. Is there a program or service where I can do this? Local companies want to charge anywhere from $65 to $150 for the service. Can I do it myself for cheaper?

This morning winamp started messing up saying there was an error something about the drivers. I thought I fixed that by messing around with the preferences on winamp, because it started working. I just noticed that the sound on videos on the internet are gone now. What is going on?

Okay, I am still trying to figure this one out.

I have downloaded DVD Shrink and also DVD Decrypter in an attempt to rip my dvd's onto my pc for backup. Managed to rip one, but it doesn't actually play. It's saved to the harddrive and only opens as the video and audio files - it will not play in WinAmp, Windows Media, etc. The drive is a DVD-RW so it should rip my dvd's onto my pc.

What am I missing?

I freaking hate it- it comes with all of these "preinstallment" applications- my other computers never did this, they had everything installed already. what exactly are thet trying to do with this preinstallment business? what's more, I can't even have the mcrosoft office (word) I need for school because it's been "preinstalled". this is a basic program which has always come with a new computer- WTF?

When using your laptop, the more programs you opened, the faster the battery will run out. What about in a personal computer when you have opened a lot of applications, does it consume more electricity (resulting to a higher bill) or it doesn't matter?
One friend told me that it does make a difference but most of the people I know say the amount consumed(electricity) is fixed.

You know how you go to start > search > for files and folders... is there any way to keep that from storing the things you searched for? Is there a way where you can delete all the previous searches with a single click? I know you can delete them one by one, but If anybody knew of an easier way, I would really like to know about it. Thanks!
