I freaking hate it- it comes with all of these "preinstallment" applications- my other computers never did this, they had everything installed already. what exactly are thet trying to do with this preinstallment business? what's more, I can't even have the mcrosoft office (word) I need for school because it's been "preinstalled". this is a basic program which has always come with a new computer- WTF?

Toshiba and the others like Dell etc are paid by the software companies to put their free trials onto the machines they sell in the hope that the customer will continue and pay to use it.

It makes producing the machines more profitable and therefore cheaper so it's not all bad. I too bought a Toshiba with software from half the world pre-installed. Open control panel -> Add/Remove programs and start getting rid of them making sure anything that's currently running (Norton especially) is shut down first.

Once you've got rid of it all I'd recommend running a registry repair tool, there will be quite a lot of damage. Once you've sorted it out they're actually good machines, shame about the work involved in making them good.

you should have looked closer when you bought the computer at what was loaded. MS word is not a standard freebie, computer may come loaded with software but you better believe your paying for it somewhere in the price

lol, you actually bought one of those!

It's all your documentation, they want you to register and install the programs. Cuz if they didn't do it this way you probably wouldn't take the time to register you software, so they are making you do it.
