How can you be sure they are where they say they are? How can i find out where they are, can you trace their IP or something?

In my case, it's still less expensive than going with cable line or DSL so I don't want to take that route yet.

Are there any other options I may not be thinking of because unfortunately I have my hardwire service through Embarq who I have had many problems with (on their end) and I hate paying them a monthly phone bill when I never use that phone number for anything except Internet access.

Are there other ways of Internet connection besides Landline, DSL or Cable that are less expensive than a local phone bill?

Where can I find good downloads with high speed car chases and races! for free though... I have tried limewire but the quality of some of them are really bad and the races are boring as you just see crap cars take off and then you don't see them!

I have taken Internet broad ban connection from noted intrenet service provider. connection is un pluged since 1 &1/2 month I am frequently asking him to resume connection. its office is in Chennai and I am in Bangalore communication is only on phone. he assures that it will resume in 24 hours but it will not be resumed. they have taken one month plan amount when it was working I got bill for that. Please suggest what action could be taken against internet service provider.

I've recently set up a blog on Wordpress.com and just posted a new entry that is more or less a continuation of the first entry (I've only posted two so far) but I can't figure out if it's possible to move the new entry below the old one so that it won't confuse people. I am getting this with nearly every site that I try to access. I have never had the problem before and haven't changed anything but my ISP which is a local company. I know several people with the same ISP including my business office. They are a fairly reliable ISP. It's "Zoomtown" from Cincinnati Bell. This problem has been consistent for weeks........sometimes better.....sometimes worse, but always very frustrating............ANY ADVICE ON WHAT TO CHECK FOR IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. So I created a pretty basic website for my company for a new add campaign.

HTML, Host, FTP, Publish and you're done.

I've got one MP3 and 4 PDFs linked on the site, but here is my curiosity:

I created with NVu and published, all while creating/editing in Mozilla Firefox. The site looks crisp and perfect in Mozilla, but when somebody opens the URL in Internet Explorer the link sizes are all different, the fonts are different sizes, etc..

Can somebody with experience shed some light on this for me? I'm stumped.
