I am getting this with nearly every site that I try to access. I have never had the problem before and haven't changed anything but my ISP which is a local company. I know several people with the same ISP including my business office. They are a fairly reliable ISP. It's "Zoomtown" from Cincinnati Bell. This problem has been consistent for weeks........sometimes better.....sometimes worse, but always very frustrating............ANY ADVICE ON WHAT TO CHECK FOR IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. Feel free to contact me outside of this forum at jjck2727@yahoo.com .

I would try dumping your temp internet files/cookies/etc.

In IE7:

Tools (in the top menu bar)->Internet Options->Delete->Delete All

In Firefox:

Tools->Clear Private Data

That will usually take care of that kind of problem.

Hope this helps. :)

Couple of things could be causing the problem>
1. Firewall -- If you have a third party fire wall like Zone Alarm, Disable it and try again.

2. Browser Helper Object (BHO) Trojan.
Run a complete anti spyware scan and anti virus scan.

3. Use the Ping Command to test your internet connection. Ping www.google.com -t and watch it for a few minutes and see if your connection drops out.

This may be due to the following reasons
check your phone connection
check you modem/ LAN card installed properly
check Modem/phone lines connected properly, then
Right click on control penal then > Local Area Net work > then right click on Local area connection and click repair
then re connect the net connection
your problem will be solved

Try to change your DNS. Contact your ISP for more accurate detail.
