Internet - when chatting to someone on the Internet....?

How can you be sure they are where they say they are? How can i find out where they are, can you trace their IP or something?

Unless you are a hacker, you can't THAT easily. You must first know their IP address AND be able to trace them back.

You CAN find out their IP, but I'm not experiened enough to know how. But all I know is that if you find their IP, you can use a IP finder site to find where they are.
