Can you get around router web logging? And how can you tell if the router has it on?

Web logging is not implemented very well on most residential routers. It's not even worth worrying about.

If you absolutely can't afford logging, use proxy servers or VPN.

Update: The router records sites by logging the DNS requests and connections you make through it via the network. Yes, a proxy server bypasses the loggign because to the router it appears that you have only connected to the proxy server -- the router at the proxy server location would have the specific details about your web usage.
