I had a hotmail account that I rarely use anymore. I switched to gmail awhile ago. I sent out an e-mail informing everyone on my contacts list of my new gmail address. Most people now e-mail me at my current address, but a few dumb ones still send mail to the hotmail one, which means I periodically have to check it. I hate doing this because it's so full of garbage and spam that wading through it seems like a chore. Is there anything I can do to have all e-mails automatically sent from my hotmail address to my gmail one? Or do I have to send out yet another e-mail informing people of my new e-mail address?

There's this site they I've been apart of for less than a year, I don't go to it much but when I just tried to go on it, and search for it, it came up forbidden. And I do have an account there. I wasn't told of a ban so what happened?

I'm curious if anyone has ever run into this. And, even if you haven't please let me know what you do--I feel like I'm being scammed!

I bought a router on ebay, for 39.99. It was a great deal because it was free shipping..

Now, when I go to pay, I have to pay an extra 8 dollars for shipping! I e-mailed the seller in regards to this issue, asking if I'd be refunded, because it is advertised as free, but I've yet to hear back from him.

I know it's technically my fault, because I should have read everything in regards to the auction (it does say "pay $8.95 for s+h" but it also says, front and center, "free shipping")

What would you do??

I NEVER put my chidren's pictures on the interenet. In fact, I only ever tell people the age and number of children if I am personally chatting with them. Someone tagged me with photos and one was of me and my kids. I emailed them and said that I LOVED the photos. And inquired about the one that I really liked of them in a field. Than I mentioned that I don't put my kids photos on the interenet and asked them to delete it. Now this family member just untagged ALL the photos and never said anything. I am wondering if they are mad again? ( everytime I tell him to stop telling me I'm weird and make fun of me for being different than him, he gets mad at me for not taking a joke). Now I am wondering if he is upset again... is this wierd to not tolerate any of my kids pictures online (unless I send them in an email)??

Don't know exactly how it came up but my wife and I were discussing STOMP.. you know the group with the trash can lids, poles, and noisy shoes..

Anyway I made the comment that what they were doing was a form of ... blog dancing! To which she replied.. you have been spending way to much time with computers lately!

Is it possible I need some memory refresh time? Or is it simply a miss spoken word? Clog - Blog who knows? Perhaps blogs are the internet version?

Hi, I have been having this problem for several months now. After surfing the net for around 40 mins+ my connection drops out. I have just purchased a new Belkin modem however this did not fix the problem. If I reboot the modem this does not work. I have run winsock fix and this also does not fix the problem. The only way i can reconnect is to restart the computer. A few helpful notes: when I click on the connections tab in internet properties there is nothing in the dial up and virtual network settings box when I lose connection if i right click on the icon for my connection in the network connections window, then status, then support, there is nothing in the ip address, default address and submask address. If I try to repair the connection it comes up with an error message saying that it could not locate the ip address or similar and I don't know how this is linked but my speakers don't work when this happens. I have run spyware doctor, ad-Aware se and I use bullguard for anti virus, occasionally they find minor threats but nothing major. Could someone please give me some advice on how to fix this problem

also I just downloaded the advanced system information -error log and the following appears frequently;

The browser service has failed to retrieve the backup list too many times on transport \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{FBAA1A71- F083-452E-B3AE-47EC3674289D}. The backup browser is stopping.

I do. You know why? Here's why it's actually better than FireFox:

1. Loads up much more faster
2. More compatibility with sites
3. Is much more safer than previous IE's, and some news sites even report it's more safer than Firefox, especially with Vista.
4. More built-in search options
5. better tabbing capabilities
6. Phishing filter
7. Many sites are only IE compatible
8. Looks pretty simplistic enough, and even nice in Vista
9. Tons of free add-ons you can install on it from the site

People always assume that IE is the unsafest browser. Not IE7. Take a look at Safari, that's a dud.

Tons of free add-ons are also availiable: http://www.windowsmarketplace.com/category.aspx?bcatid=834&tabid=1/default.aspx

IE7 Pro includes some extra nifty tools not in IE7 and is pretty nice: http://www.ie7pro.com/ All the power users use it

Also FireFox isn't always what we think it is:

What do you think?

Some of the pictures display others have an x in the upper left corner. I can click on the x and click display picture and it will. I can do a refresh and pictures displayed will be totally different or no pictures will be displayed.
