Firefox is an internet browser, like IE.

It surfs the web and typically does everything that a web browser is suppose to do, guide you through the internet.

Both FireFox and IE are very good.

If you have an older computer, running Windows 98, XP SP1, or 2000, then I suggest you get FireFox.

If you have a more recent computer, with Vista or SP2, then I suggest using IE7. Since IE7 offers more protection under these circumstances.

Like I said, they're both good. Although many people will tell you Firefox is better than IE, and IE sucks.

Take a look at FireFox lies if you want to make sure: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/SupportCD/FirefoxMyths.html
