I do. You know why? Here's why it's actually better than FireFox:

1. Loads up much more faster
2. More compatibility with sites
3. Is much more safer than previous IE's, and some news sites even report it's more safer than Firefox, especially with Vista.
4. More built-in search options
5. better tabbing capabilities
6. Phishing filter
7. Many sites are only IE compatible
8. Looks pretty simplistic enough, and even nice in Vista
9. Tons of free add-ons you can install on it from the site

People always assume that IE is the unsafest browser. Not IE7. Take a look at Safari, that's a dud.

Tons of free add-ons are also availiable: http://www.windowsmarketplace.com/category.aspx?bcatid=834&tabid=1/default.aspx

IE7 Pro includes some extra nifty tools not in IE7 and is pretty nice: http://www.ie7pro.com/ All the power users use it.

I also found a site the show FireFox Lies: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/SupportCD/FirefoxMyths.html

So what do you guys have to say?

Also, most people haven't even tried IE7. I admit IE6 is a total bum. But IE7 isn't. It's just stereotyping that all IE's are bad, and to avoid them.

FireFox is also a great browser. But I just wanted to show that IE7 isn't bad at all. It does what it does pretty good also. No browser is perfect.

FireFox is great - If you have a cheap/old computer. Since those versions are likely to have an old IE. Then yes, installing FireFox would be better.

IE7 doesn't work on the weak stuff, I admit.

I use Firefox for most of my work because of the addons I can get.

I use IE 7 for some of my work.

I use IE 6.0 for other parts of my work

I use Opera for other parts.

Each browser has it's own specialties and are often good for specific things.

I say you don't know anything about computers and just do what ever you hear. Opera is so much better than IE7. IE7 is only for that shi*t you call a OS. While Opera and firefox are for all OS. Safari is also for both OSX and windows. Now if it is so good then why is IE7 only for windows? Here is how Opera owns IE7
1. Loads way faster on all operating systems.
2. It is compatible than IE7.
3. More secure.
4. Has search options like widgets.
5. starting tabbing.
6. Always had a phishing filter.
7. sites are not always only IE compatible.
8. Has skins
9. Opera is free and has much more add-ons.

I use both firefox and IE7

however, IE 7 can't have different themes and colors like FF.

Also, the stop and refresh button is on the wrong side of the window (IE7). If there were ways to change that, I would use it more that FF.

only an idiot would use anything powered by direct x...i would say they would be retarded but thats just plain insulting to retarded people all around the world...as far as ie7 specifically goes...its just a cheap imitation of firefox/opera, and a bad one at that...as far as sites being ie only compatible...i have 2 things to say to you
1: how hard is it to open up ie and switch browsers for 5 seconds? (especially since there are several firefox extentions that allow you to easily open the page you're viewing and open it in ie or just load ie in a tab of firefox(then there is no switching period)
and 2: as long as there isnt any specific reason that you cant load the page in firefox just use the user agent switcher extention that masks your browser and makes the website think you are using internet explorer....
also i feel it important to correct your horrible spelling: "Tons of free add-ons you can install on it from the site"
*corrects you:* There are TONS of free adds that install themselves when you in all your stupidity chose to use active-x
wtf...who uses safari?

and omg i read through that horrible compilation of "firefox lies" just to humor you and for starters...nothing there was a lie made by firefox, if anything they were just some uncommon beliefs about the program...
also half of the crap written there is bullshit(i dont care what it says that is propaganda all around) and they only tell the side of the story that makes firefox look bad...
also everything it says about active x is completely stupid and contradictory...

the end...

wow i typed alot [and prolly pissed a bunch of ppl off...dont hate me because im an insomniac with too much time on his hands...plz :-D ]

IE7 is just another hacked up browser from the great Microsoft in the sky, and when you get down to basics it's just another browser. I find it to be slow to load, won't load some sites, and freezes from time to time. I find that IE7 really isn't good enough to compare with other browsers.

have you ever seen Maxthon? It has all the lively X controls like IE plus tabbed surfing and this reachable function that helps you to renew surfing the comparable pages in case you prefer once you shut the browser. this is helpful and that i've got had plenty much less problems than with Firefox even however i in my opinion enjoyed Firefox till the lively X situation grew to become a genuine subject. besides, basically a thought... the two way, sturdy luck!

Even though it does load faster that firefox, it has slower browsing speeds and its not as secure and firefox. Sorry to tell you, but i like firefox better.

The only thing better about IE7 is that it has more compatibilty in my mind.

It's still a Microsoft browser. Attacks concentrate on it and security updates will always be slower than with open source software. And you can't tell me, that it's less buggy and riddled with security holes than firefox.

r u kidding me!!!

Microsoft products are all built on a wrong concept from the beginning so whatever they made, it will still weak, unsecure and fualty

Firefox is the best browser ever, at least we know that FF made the concept of Add-ons and MS just copied the idea later, what a company!!!!
Hey redmond guys stop ur photocopiers, just for one moment for god sake

You must work for Microsoft's marketing department while taking your information from here: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/SupportCD/OptimizeXP.html

I will stay with FIREFOX, more secure, more customization than Billy Gates will ever allow with his software.
