Internet - March 2007

Sky have some tempting low price deals, but i am worried about the quality of the service as i have heard bad things about them e.g. slow connection and bad customer service. Can people who already have the service please tell me whether they think it is worth the switch? Thanks a lot.

The ones where they offer u free gifts for doing the survey. I always run into them online, but never bother to fill any out because I figured that they are just some kind of scam-or just not worth the time. But I was going to take this Simpson Ultimate fan quiz for fun, and it had one of those free gift offer with survey completion things, and since I was going to do the quiz anyway- I thought that it wouldn't hurt to give them my email for the free laptop. But before I do- I was wondering if anyone had ever done it, and actually received the free gift? cause if that crap actually works, then i could possibly save a lot of money on big purchases by just filling out a few annoying surveys. Cause if there's a free laptop involved, then it's worth it. (I REALLY need a computer; the one I'm using is my roommate's;)

I won a Buy It Now on an item and paid for it. Then, the seller e-mailed me saying that they no longer had that item in stock. She offered to change to a similar product for the same price. Can I change my mind and tell her I don't want the new product since I paid for the old one? Is there a way for her to cancel the transaction? Will PayPal refund my money? Please help.

It would be nice to have yahoo space, I really hate myspace. because it is been owned by google. google is making more and more money. Founders of google are in top 15 world billioners. I like to support yahoo. yahoo been there for us for longer than google. enough of google. Go for yahoo.

if you like yahoo service and would like to see yahoo space lets us all send request to yahoo through this.

i had a 64kbps connection and i was using skype for making calls....was having a tough time talking due to slow internet speed...so i upgraded to 256 kbps...but the problem is still there ?? also i dont feel any difference in my net speed ?? any solutions ?

I sometimes use Google to determine how often a particular phrase or a spelling appears on the Web. For this type of search, I'll put the phrase in quotes, so that Google doesn't ignore small words (like in/and/the).

However, even when the search phrase is included in quotes, Google seems to ignore hyphens. For example, Google seems to return the same results for "editor in chief" and "editor-in-chief".

Is there a way to get Google to distinguish between "editor in chief" and "editor-in-chief"?
