Internet - January 2007

I turned it off and I had to unplug and replug everything to get both my phone and internet working. Is this going to happen everytime I shut down?

Can someone tell me or direct me to a website that can teach me how to add a link so ppl can be added to an email newsletter? I want to be able to add it to a website and have them enter their email addy and be able to send a mass email newsletter to all who sign up...help?

Ok, when i am on a webpage when i scroll down it like does some weird sort of funky line moving thing kind of looks like it is refreshing sort of. It takes like 2 full secs and does not run smoothly. If any one has an idea of what it is i would appreciate it.

An imposter created a MSN messenger alias using the full name of someone I know, got on my MSN messenger list, and IM'ed me as if it was him. (As the dialogue went on it became more and more suspicious, I called the actual person and confirmed that he wasn't IM'ing me).

How did this imposter do this? i.e. Getting a hold of a full name of my friend, knowing that we're acquainted, and getting on my buddy/contact list? Could this have been done by a total stranger or is this person more likely someone that knows me?

Should I report this? How can I prevent this from happening again?

i took my time writing a thorough message to my friend that took more than an hour and then i clicked send and it said message sent. however, when i look at my inbox in the sent messages, the message i sent is not there, instead it was a different message i sent the day before christmas. i know it says on the top that sent messages are deleted in 14 days so if the message i sent is not there at all this means it was not sent, does it not?

When I type in a search in my search engine at my parents house (I can't remember if it's yahoo or google) it brings up a normal looking page with different choices on it. However, when I click on one of the choices it takes me to a competely different web page. Many times it takes me to a web page that is listing stores that might carry something that I was searching for. Has anybody else had this problem, or know how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.
