have you ever used priceline.com for a hotel?
i was thinking about using it for the first time.
the rooms are $139 on every website i've seen. how low can i go with priceline? i don't know how it works.

You get on Priceline.com and click on Hotels. Follow the prompts and set all the criteria for the hotel room you want (not below a certain star rating, proximity to downtown, number of nights needed, etc). Then you set the max. price you would be willing to pay. Then you have to put your credit card info. into the order, BEFORE you see what hotel you will be staying at. If a hotel that meets all your criteria accepts your price offer, your card will be charged immediately for the room and taxes. You print out the confirmation page and keep it. Bring it with you when you check in at the hotel. If you're worried about getting charged for a room in a seedy, run-down hotel, be sure to pick the 4 or 5 star rating. If there are no hotels willing to meet your price (meaning your max. price is set too low) Priceline will tell you the difference you need to add to your max. price offer before a hotel will accept it.
