i took my time writing a thorough message to my friend that took more than an hour and then i clicked send and it said message sent. however, when i look at my inbox in the sent messages, the message i sent is not there, instead it was a different message i sent the day before christmas. i know it says on the top that sent messages are deleted in 14 days so if the message i sent is not there at all this means it was not sent, does it not?

Hmmm...
I am pretty sure that it was sent. If I am not mistaken...under the "sent" catagory, it is messages that you replyed to. Say I send you a message & you reply back to me....when you send it back to me...it goes into your sent box. I could be wrong, but im pretty sure thats whats there. Now if you were to just go to my page and click send message...write something and then send it....then go check your sent box, I dont think it will be there. Basicly sent messages that you have replied to. I hope that wasnt confusing LOL

Whe the messages you send are not in the "sent" box, that means that "your friend" has blocked you. It happened to me :-(
If you have your friend's number, call him/her and ask what is going on.
Or you can leave a pic comment...
If a message is not sent at all, they usually tell you there was an error.

if your messeage is not showing up in the sent file it did not send, it always shows up in sent but sometimes does not get to where its going. if not in sent file it did not send~

if it does not show up in the sent box, then it never got sent.
you have to retype the whole thing.
