this woman that worked at a dsl company said that dsl is faster because your connection is yours alone and cable internet connection your connection is shared throughout the whole neighbor hood at first i did not believe her that much but then my uncle told me this exact same thing. So which is faster and better dsl or cable anyways i think they were right because i got cable and my internet speed seems to flip flop every time somedays it is at 146kb while other times it is at 250kb it is supposed to be at 384kb .

My company would like me to work from home however I don't have the Internet at home. I also don't have cable or a home phone. (Mostly because I don't watch T.V. and I have a cell phone) Is there anyway that I would be able to work from home without either one of those? I don't know much about wireless or what you need to make it work.

I love the international movie database (imdb.com) but i was wondering if there was a similar site for books. A site other that something like amazon, which is simply trying to sell something. I would like a site that has a similiar format to the imdb. Is there such a thing? if so, can someone provide me with the web address?

to remember your username and password. How do I put my username and password in to make it remember mine. I tried deleting hers, typing in mine and rechecking the remember me box, but no matter what hers keeps coming up.

My modem is a 56k with an average 42k connection and I have Free Download Manager and Megaupload's program, but neither give me much more than 4k on most downloads. When I uploaded some of my files to Megaupload, I got up to a 25k speed, and when downloading to test if the files were uploaded correctly, I got a similar download speed to the upload speed. Occasionally I'll get a 10k speed, but this is only on some servers. On FDM, I get the same speed when it splits into 10 parts, or doesn't split at all. The program only downloads one split piece at a time. Is there any way I can maximize my download speed or am I stuck until I got to college where they have dsl in the dorms?

I had a myspace account and someone hacked into it and changed all my info (someone who knows me did this cause they put personal info in). My password was not something easy to figure out, but I'm thinking someone did. Is there a way to trace who did it?

In a list similar to a checklist, except with circles instead of boxes, once an option is selected then one of the options from the list will always be bubbled in. Is there any way to clear the bubble after an option has been selected the first time.

Note: reloading the page or clearing the form will not work because the page is part of an application that has already been saved on the internet.
