The internet connection didn't break when I commanded it to, and a son of mine created a few test accounts to get around the controls--guess why. Of course, when asked, he had SIMPLY NO IDEA what they were or how they got there. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and to my surprise, they were still there.

Well, now what?

You know, the ones that say "Congratulations, you've just won such and such." Or, "Congratulations, you're the 10 millionth visitor to this site!" Do you actually get something, or is it just a scam?

Since yesterday afternoon my internet freezes whenever I click on a link that opens into a new browser (this including my email so I can not read my email and that is a problem!). If I go directly to a page I have no issues but if I click a link it freezes right up. I have tried rebooting, etc nothing is helping. I ran a Norton scan it found two low risk items I resolved those but it is not helping. What am I missing??? This is really becoming a problem as I need to get into my email for work! Please help!

Hi. For some reason I can't sign into some websites like Ebay and my bank account websites. It's not rejecting my passwords, I can't actually get to the sign in page in the first place. I keep getting a 'page cannot be displayed' message. I've tried using IE, Firefox and Opera, clearing my cookies and restoring the system and nothing's worked!

I'm talking about items which are obviously wanted and the people who battle for the item by throwing occasional bids here and there days before the item is to end on the offchance that someone else wont put an extra penny on their price and take the item before the end. It's unfair towards people who are actually keen enough on the item to stick to the end. I think it's in no one's interest and it basically plays on everyone's greed that comes out of lack of thinking.
(This draws on my previous question, as no one knew what I was on about.)

You know how there are proxy websites where you can go to? You go to it and type in the url of the website you want to go to and it redirects you to it if it is blocked? Im in a school and i havn't had any time to go on a website at home that is blocked at school because it is possible to chat on it or something. I knew of virusinfo.org and anonx.com but they are both blocked now because the teachers figured them out. Does anyone know anymore?

I'm very disappointed with the services of Talk talk. I have ordered Talk talk service from May 2006: landline and "free" broadband. Landline just works (but if there is any problem - relay on God, there is no help!) Broadband is really nightmare! Keeps disconnecting every 5 minutes and there is nobody who can help you, only over the phone! There
your horror starts! You have to wait hours and listen to a terrific music before someone starts talking to you (you have to speak for short or long time explaining about your problems to probably all members of Talk talk and they will put you through to each other) and then eventually that's your lucky day if “the right adviser" doesn't hang up phone on you while you are talking but even if he doesn't he wont know how to help! Then you have to pay for all this mess because phone call to a technical support is very expensive! All technical support service advisors are in India, Malaysia and somewhere else, but not in London. So if you are not an IT engineer you won’t be able to use service you are paying for and if you want to cancel it you have to pay cancellation charge of £70. Does anyone have same problems as me?

I do have their address, but I live in another state and can't just drop by to ask them what their phone number is. I was hoping to call and surprise them, but their number is unlisted.
